Glass Flame Guard- 3/8″ thick tempered glass
Fire Pit Flame Guards provide an additional safety barrier, helps to maintain a central flame during the evening breeze, all while providing an enhanced fire elegance by the reflecting flames on the glass surfaces. Made from tempered glass, all our Fire Pit Flame Guards are heat resistant with polished edges.
It’s better to over size then undersize on Glass Flame Guards, because though tempered glass is heat resistant. It is vulnerable to shock failures. Not recommend for use while in range of pool cannon ball activity, or where the space for a Flame Guard is narrow accompanied with large flames. For those situations we recommend our Steel Flame Guards. It does not happen often but if a piece ever breaks we will send a replacement asap after customer pays shipping and discounted rate on new glass piece.
Available to fit around 3 standard fire trough opening widths and 12 standard fire trough opening lengths. The actual glass outside dimension is 4.5″ longer than the Fire Feature Opening this leaves a 1 7/8″ space between the inside edge of 3/8″ glass and the Fire Feature Opening.
Notice! It is important to keep the inside edge of glass at least 8 inches from burner edge to prevent constant flame contact on glass which can cause glass failure.
